Almost There

I would like to thank all you that have called or written me about the new boat. The “due” date is December 14. The boat is coming along nicely and will be a great platform to fish from for the next couple of years. This boat is loaded with the latest and greatest in electronics and fishing gear. If you have fished with me in the past you know that I do not skimp on my equipment and tackle and this boat is no different. As soon as the boat is up and running I will put up some pictures but I promise you will not be disappointed. Now on to the fishing. The sailfish have finally arrived. When the current has been flowing the fish have been biting.

The biggest issue has been the hide and go seek game the current has been playing. That being said the sailfish are here. Mixed in with the sailfish have been mahi-mahi. These fish have been caught while fishing for sailfish on the kite and flatlines. There have been some kingfish in the mix. These kings range from small teenagers up to 30#’s I have not been able to do any bottom fishing due to the fact that the wind has not stopped blowing. This time of year. Our primary wind direction Is from the northern to easterly quadrant. Keep in mind that grouper will close the first of January and reopen at the end of April.

Those of you that wanted to tarpon fish they have finally arrived so that is another option at our disposal. Well that is it for now. I do apologize for the short report but I promise to do a better job reporting once the new boat is up and running. I will post some pictures once the new boat is operational. If you would like to fish on this state of the art 32 SeaVee give me a call and let’s set something up. I already have days booked up into in March so don’t wait to long to get “Lucky” until then stay safe and have a great holiday.

Thank You,

Capt. Gil Gutierrez, Lucky Fishing Charters
